Terminals and airline information

Terminals and airline information

ONT’s airline directory assigns passenger airlines to Terminal 2 or Terminal 4, so confirm your terminal before heading to the airport. Terminal 2 serves Alaska Airlines, avianca, China Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Frontier Airlines, United Airlines and Volaris. Terminal 4 serves American Airlines, JetBlue, Southwest Airlines and STARLUX Airlines.

Amazon Air, FedEx and UPS also appear in the directory, but without a passenger-terminal assignment. Airline details can change, so use your airline’s current travel information when confirming where to go.

For ONT terminal information after you arrive, interactive maps cover Terminals 2 and 4. They show gates, restrooms, amenities and lounges. The International Arrivals Terminal is at 2222 International Way, Ontario, CA 91761.

Airport pickup and ground transportation

Airport pickup and ground transportation

At Terminals 2 and 4, the airport shuttle pickup and drop-off points are on the terminal islands between the parking lots and terminal buildings. Shuttles run every 5 to 20 minutes, with less frequent departures between 12:30 a.m. and 3 a.m.; the service operates around the clock.

For shuttle pickup or drop-off at the International Arrivals Terminal or USO, ask aboard the shuttle or call 909-937-1240. If you’re planning to use a hotel or motel courtesy shuttle, the airport recommends arranging it 72 hours before travel.

For rideshare, collect your luggage first, then follow the Rideshare Pick Up signs outside your terminal and request a vehicle through your provider’s app. Taxis wait at ranks on the outer island in front of every terminal. The airport identifies Bell Cab as its taxi partner and gives 909-884-1111 as its dispatch number.

The airport says its taxi service is not wheelchair accessible. If you need an accessible rideshare vehicle, check availability with your rideshare provider.

Rental cars are collected at the ONT Rental Car Center, 3450 East Airport Drive, Ontario, CA 91761. A courtesy shuttle connects the terminals with the center.

Connections beyond the airport

Connections beyond the airport

ONT Connect links Terminals 2 and 4 with Rancho Cucamonga Metrolink Station by nonstop shuttle. The ride is free with a valid Metrolink ticket. If you’re connecting from an arriving flight, the shuttle stop is outside each terminal, to the right as you exit; the train connection is at Rancho Cucamonga Station.

If someone is driving to meet you, the Cell Phone Waiting Lot is for drivers waiting until arriving passengers are ready. Once you’re set, the driver can proceed to the terminal loading and unloading zone.

The lot is at 3350 John Bangs Drive, Ontario, CA 91761, and is free for up to one hour. For onward travel around the area, how to get around Rancho Cucamonga covers local transportation options.

For drivers coming from the Los Angeles area, the airport’s directions use Interstate 10 east to the Archibald Avenue exit, followed by signs to the terminals and parking lots. From San Bernardino, take Interstate 10 west to Archibald Avenue and follow the signs to the terminals.

What to confirm before departure

What to confirm before departure

Before setting out, confirm your airline’s terminal and pickup arrangements, especially if you’re relying on a shuttle or meeting someone by car.

The airport’s parking lots are cashless; long-term parking is available in any lot rather than in a designated long-term lot. Free electric-vehicle charging stations are on the south sides of Lots 2 and 4, where the applicable parking fees still apply.

Shuttles serve Lots 5 and 6, which are also a short walk from Terminal 4. Lot 1 has no scheduled shuttle service; call 909-937-1240 to request pickup. The airport’s parking and pickup arrangements can shape how you plan getting from ONT to Rancho Cucamonga.

Before you go: Shuttle schedules, airline details and other operating information can change, so check the official site before you go.

From New Kansan Motel, ONT is about a 12-minute drive and 3.5 miles away; the motel is a hotel in Rancho Cucamonga.
